Why Are Houses In Mexico So Cheap? I Paid Only $300 Monthly For A 3bdrm Two Bath With Pool And Fireplace..?
There was this beautiful vacation I took in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico.. and lived in the brick house with and black fenced and gated windows.. and an above grounnd pool and fireplace… and the rent was only $300 monthly.. i mean come on now what was the catch?! Is it because it is right smack in the middle of the Sonoran Desert? plus mexico isn’t that bad near the border like some people say. .. i did have to pay for electric which was approx 50.00 monthly and water which was 20.00 monthly and 30.00 monthly for gas for the stove.. but the loving room was HUGE.. and so were the bedrooms…

It probably depends on the time of year and location. You would not be able to rent a lavish house so inexpensively on the Caribbean Coast, Baja or Pacific Coast. A condo or apartment maybe. Cost of living in Mexico is at least 1/3 less than north of the border. I live in Mexico on less thatn $1,000USD/month.
