The Amish Can Make Electronics?
I always thought amish people couldn’t use electronics or innovative technologies.
Now i saw this informercial about amish crafted electric fireplaces. Their were actually amish people in the infomercial making them.
WTF clarify this for me

The Amish CAN use electronics, but they do not wish to use most electronics because they would interfere with their family ties and their religion.They do use various modern goods that serve such an important purpose, such as drills for work, fax machines for business, mobiles for pregnant women and so on.Therefore they can make electronics to sell.
The Beachy Amish-Mennonites use cars, electricity and phones.Some even can use the Internet, can have blogs and can use mobile phones.http://www.beachyam.org/FAQs.htm

The Amish have definitely evolved. I live in PA and around here they will ride in a car with somebody, they go to the mall, etc but they don’t use electricity in their homes . . . . Being on video surprises me though as they believe having your picture taken will steal your soul.
