Buying Electric Fireplaces

If I Put Plazma Tv Or Lcd Flat Tv On Top Of Electric Fireplaces,will There Be Any Damage To My Tv?

i’m thinking to buy Electric Fireplaces and i want to have LCD TV on top of it, but i’m not sure what will happen to LCD if it hits up a little.

    Only if there’s excess heat and/or smoke in that area.

    Electronic devices do not like heat. It would be better if you didn’t place it on top of ANY heat generating device. Plasmas especially should be kept away from heat as they run hot anyways and need fans to keep them cool.

    There shouldn’t if your fireplace is a direct vent and doesn’t have vents on the top. I have my 60″ LCD hanging over my fireplace for over a year now and never had a problem as the heat doesn’t even touch the TV.

    the first thing youi should do is put a a thermometer on top of it first to see what the temp is before I put the TV on it. i
