This is too heavy for UPS, so ship by truck. Call the trucking companies in your area and ask what it would cost. It depends on how far it is being shipped. If you are buying it new, the fireplace people can ship it for you for a fee. If it is used, you will need to crate it up so it doesn’t get broken, and if you can’t lift it, ask the trucking company how they will load it. You will not be bothering them, that is what they do for a living!

Look up freight companies in your local yellow pages.
The cost to palletize(sp) it and ship it varies completely based on distance. A good freight company will give you a free estimate. I just received a 450 lb joiner and the shipping cost was $59. That vendor does a lot of business with that shipper, so your cost will be higher.
