I Have A Small Electric Fireplace Inside A Cabinet. Could Anyone Tell Me How To Build It Into The Wall No Cabi
I want to take the insert out of the cabinet and build it into the wall. I want to build a brick mantle around it. Does anyone know how I would do this? I would like to do it on my own, because I would like for it to be a suprise for my husband when he comes home (he works out of town, so I have 3 weeks to do it). I know how to do the brick work, just not sure how to do the insert part. Thanks

you will have to cut into the wall, and reinforce the studs (build a frame inside the wall) where you want to place the electric fireplace. make sure the fireplace isn’t deeper than the wall.
talk to an electrician, and/or contractor they may be able to wire it into the wall, with a switch or remote control for the fireplace.
