How Much Heat Do Electric Fireplaces Put Out?
Does the electric bill go up a lot when using it, or is it just like using a space heater?

I’ve seen some with the option of just having flickering flames for show, or having both flames and heat output. But I’ve never owned one so can’t give input on how much heat they offer or the effects on the electric bill.
I think the new electric fireplaces with wood surrounds/mantles are really neat, and am thinking of getting one, so I’m glad you asked this question!

Yes and yes.If it’s wired for 120 volt, the most you are going to get out of it is 1500 watts.Wire it for 240 volts and get more out of it.
