Check with the building code compliance office in the county where your trailer is located to see if they would let you install a fireplace. Fireplaces are very inefficient ways to heat a space, and you would have to have a lot of room to store the wood you would need for a fireplace.
You would be better checking into installing a small propane or natural gas heater in the trailer if you don’t want to use an electric heater.
We have used several trailers during hunting season and all of those have small propane heaters mounted in a wall and they work real well.
