Electric Fireplace Vs Gel Heated Fireplace?
Which one is safer, and more economical?

Electric fireplaces are becoming increasingly more popular since buying electric fireplaces are more cost effective, cleaner and easier to maintain.

Well, a gel heated fireplace is definitely much, much more economical. Both require caution when operating as they are open flames.

I have the gel heated fireplace and if I were to buy another one, it would be electric. I don’t like the smell, it gives me a headache. Hubby says he doesn’t smell it, but I can and think it leaves a lingering odor in the room. It does a great job heating a large room and it really does look like a real fire. I initially chose it because the electric ones looked too fake to me, but as for safer and more economical electric is safer and gel more economical.
