Do Flameless Fireplaces Use Less Electricity?
My house is old, drafty, and heats with those electric floor board heaters. I am trying to get my landlords to do something about it and help insulate, but they keep ignoring it and not doing anything. My family and young kids are freezing. If we turn up the heaters we stay warm, but our electric bill is over $300. a month. I saw those flameless fireplaces from the Amish, they use about the same electricity as a coffee maker. Do they really l use that little, and would it keep my house warmer with a smaller electric bill?

Don’t waste your money! You would be better off turning down the heat to 50 degrees and just keeping the living room warmer. If you need an additional heater, you can be one for about $59. at a local store that will give you as much heat as one of the Amish heaters for $300
