Buying Electric Fireplaces

Amish Electric Fireplace

The Amish are always regarded as exotic people living lives that very few of us can even dream of. Well electric fireplaces too are kinda exotic as they bring back the vintage fireplaces of bygone years back into the modern living room. So what better than to put the two together to form an Amish electric fireplace! Some enterprising folks from a company known as Heat Surge have gone ahead and done just that.

Billed as “The Heat Surge Roll-n-Glow Electric Fireplace” these fireplaces are claimed to sport a mantle made of real Amish wood. Also, according to Heat Surge, these fireplaces consume lesser electricity than your coffee maker!

The Amish electric fireplaces are priced at $587 and if you have kept your eyes open, you must definitely have noticed a lot of promotional material on these fireplaces both on television and in the print media. Now, it is fair to mention that there is a lot of controversy surrounding these Amish electric fireplaces. There are people who claim that there is no evidence to claim that the mantle is Amish made and even go so far as saying that the Amish would never allow the use of electricity is anything that they make. They say that the name Amish is just used as a marketing gimmick to add that exotic flavor to the product. There are others too who claim to have bought these widely publicized fireplaces and have found them to be living up to the claims and seem to be happy with their buy.

Whatever be the opinion, these Amish electric fireplaces seem to have marked their presence strongly in the market. If you are interested in buying one just get on to the Heat Surge website to find out more.

Electric fireplaces are great for not only creating a warm & cozy room, but also as a means of saving money. They use very little electricity to create a substantial amount of heat. My parents have one and now I plan on buying one this fall.

I’m also a big fan of electric heaters. Having worked in the industry for a while, I do prefer gas heaters, but as a cost effective solution I think electric heaters do very well.
